Omg I laughed out loud the ENTIRE time. This is so high school. So, I could die I'm so bored, there's a million places I'd rather be, let me count the awful things I would rather be doing than this.
This paragraph is pure awesomeness and put a huge smile on my face.
Where the hell is Jake? I wondered. Jake Slater was the biggest douchebag I’ve ever known. He was the prankster who always gave Freshman swirlies in the toilets or shanked them, leaving them bare-assed and humiliated in front of the entire school. He was the illiterate jock who always wanted to copy off your homework or cheat off your test. He was the idiot who could never hold his alcohol and always ended up puking in the back seat of your car before slurring an “I looove you, man!” Yeah, he was all those things and more.
He was my best friend.

I lost a friend in high school and that ending really hits so close to home. Everything can change in that one second. Heartbreaking.

OMG. I cannot get over this teaser. The voice is so incredible - you have teenage boy DOWN. "Everyone else in the classroom looked stoned or spaced out." - I laughed out loud. I know you're a teacher and everything, but I was a still a tiny little bit surprised at how accurate this all sounded. You are a genius. :D
