Book Challenge *cue the Rocky music*

Yes, ladies and gentleman, I've decided to do book challenge this year. Some of the gals on Absolutewrite gave me the idea. Last year, they challenged themselves to read 100 books. So, I thought, "Hey, that's cool!" But in the spirit of competition, I thought, "Well, crap, better up the stakes a little!" So, since I'm hoping, praying, and believin' that 2010 is gonna be the best that's ever been, I've decided to read 110 books. I'll be listing the books and their covers on the right hand side of the blog. I'm also posting reviews on my Goodreads page.

I gave my dear sweet grandmother, Big Mama(even though she's a little woman) or Grammy, as my AWer friends know her, twelve books for Christmas. She loves biographies, and I lucked up finding some bargain ones at B &N. Srsly, she's already read three of them! The woman is an eighty year old reading machine! So, I feel like she'll help me out with the challenge.

Who else is up for it? I'll meet ya in the ring!!

Whoooo! Go Krista. I wish I could set such a lofty goal... well, I could, but I'm such a bad reader! Gotta work on that. I love how your grandma is a reading machine. There's someone who's got life figured out. :D

*cheers you on* I wish I could meet you in the ring, but I'm a very, very slow reader. I'm crossing my fingers to read 52 books this year.

Yeah, so my piddling 15 books is nothing compared to your 110! WOW! Make some of your books début YA authors and you can do two challenges at once!

My goal for YA is 50, but for kids, it's 100, so that puts me at 150. Does that count? Or does it have to be 100 YA? If not, then I'm in!

Wow, 110! I am going to try to read 100 books this year, also. I picked up Claudia Gray's EVERNIGHT and started reading it the other night. Um, that's about it. I'd better get reading!

I would love to read that many books this year. But sometimes I get so caught up in writing I don't have as much time to read. I think writing a book should be the equivalent of reading at least 10, don't you think?

By the way, I like the look of your blog. It's very pleasant on the eyes :D
